Phoenix Judo Update

We have been very busy with the influx of new people and the many tournaments and events that have been going on in the last few months, so here is an update:

Congratulations to Sensei Tom Comerford on his promotion to Yodan from USA Judo.  It was extremely well deserved and a long time coming.  Way to go! "Thumbs up Sensei Tommy"

Congratulations to Sensei Roger Mazzella on his recent marriage to Nicky! Lots of love from the entire Phoenix family.

The September first Friday had a fantastic showing and we are looking forward to more of the same, this Friday, October 7, 2011. We have already received notice that many people are coming.  Make every effort to be one of them!

We will be doing our fall promotions on Sunday, November 13, 2011. Stay tuned for more details.

NEWAZA TOURNAMENT & RANDORI SESSION at Celtic Judo Club Canceled

Due to severe weather conditions the Newaza Tournament has been canceled.

Cancelling class

classes tonight,Wednesday June 1 will be cancelled due to tornado warning.

Phoenix Judo at Ocean States - March 19, 2011

Phoenix Judo was well-represented at the Ocean States in Coventry, Rhode Island last weekend. In spite of it being a very long day, our fighters gave it their all and did their best! Way to go team!

Class Cancelled Again Due to Weather, Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Due to the inclement weather,we will be cancelling tonight's class. As of now, tomorrow's class seems to be a go and everyone is strongly encouraged to come out on Friday evening to make up for all of our lost practices!

Phoenix Judo displayed again in the Great White North

Again, our team was very well represented when they took their trip up to Toronto.  Those in attendance were so impressed that our very own Sensei Jay is on the cover of this month's Judo Ontario newsletter with a great article written on page six.
